Seeing these two finally hold their little miracle is heartwarming; they're one of many who have gone through dealing with infertility struggles. You wouldn't know looking at their smiles they're only running on a couple hours sleep.
Adjusting your life when a newborn baby arrives isn't easy. It’s okay to have bad days, to struggle, to make mistakes, to say the wrong thing, feel overwhelmed and under-appreciated, to be out-of-sorts and sort-of-over-it all. It’s okay for us to be human. And it's okay for your baby to have rough days as well.
You don't need to do this all alone. Yes, you have your partner there going through these changes too, but don't hesitate to reach out to your friends or family if you need help. Even if its just to bring you a coffee or watch baby while you shower or take a nap. There's also post-partum doulas who can be a tremendous help as you settle into a new routine.
If you're looking for an Okanagan newborn photographer, I would love to preserve these fleeting moments for you! The best time to take newborn photos is 1-2 weeks after birth, but book your photographer as soon as you can, before baby is born, to ensure availability!
